A lifelong Parisian, Huber studied at the Ecole des Beaux-Arts under Dawant and Jules Grün. While he is best known for his paintings of cats, he also specialized in still life subjects. Huber is listed in Dictionnaire des Peintres, Sculpteurs, Dessinateurs, et Graveurs by Bénézit and Popular 19th Century Painting by Hook and Poltimore.
