This wonderful carved oak panel originally hung in "The Jockey Club" in Washington, DC, and depicts not only a fox hunt but numerous other vignettes typical of English country life of the early 19th century. It may have been carved as a panel in a chest or as part of the wall panelling for a room. Circa 1800 Frame: 27" x 40" (Frame is early, but not original) |
