Il Casolare Leon Giuseppe Buono (Italian, b. 1888) Oil-on-artist board; signed l.r. and titled, signed and inscribed "Pozzuoli" on the reverse.
Born in Naples, 1888, Buono studied at the Studio Academy of Naples. While young, he had a collective show with works that aroused immediate admiration and the applause of fans and critics. He exhibited often in Italy and beyond. His works are in the principal cities of Europe, America, Australia and Japan. Quite a few of his works can be found in art galleries and private collections, especially in Naples, Italy. He retired to Pozzuoli, where he continued painting in solitude, and where he was most rewarded participating in the major art competitions. He is known for landscape and genre paintings.
