Terpsichore, Muse of Dance and Choral Singing depicted as a Standing Classical Figure with a Lyre

Bronze, signed and with foundry stamp.

Height: 23”

Gregoire was born in Paris and studied under Samson. He exhibited at the Salon de Paris from 1867 and then at Salon des Artistes Français where he was an associate He was primarily known for his allegorical bronze sculptures. he died in Paris in 1890.
