Important 18th-century English serpentine-fronted Kneehole Desk or Dressing Table in Mahogany, having a thumb-molded top above a case fitted with a leather-lined writing slide, one long drawer and six small drawers flanking a cabinet which slides back to form a kneehole. The case has canted corners with carved blind fretwork and is raised on ogee bracket feet, circa 1770.

The games table has a rectangular top opening to a tooled leather playing surface above a veneered frieze and supported by cabriole legs ending in pad feet. Note the good proportions and extremely fine cartouche and leafage carving on the front knees. The accordion action allows for a complete skirt under the entire table when it is open.
