Antique American Folk Art Marquetry Jewelry Box having top and all sides inlaid with various woods in geometric patterns; the interior lined in
red felt with a removable tray and scalloped insert to hold a mirror (now missing).

This wonderful carved oak panel originally hung in "The Jockey Club" in Washington, DC, and depicts not only a fox hunt but numerous other vignettes typical of English country life of the early 19th century. It may have been carved as a panel in a chest or as part of the wall panelling for a room.
