Antique English Bamboo and Chinoiserie Decorated Center Table, octagonal with a black lacquer Chinoiserie top and lower shelf with bird and blossom decoration. Victorian, circa 1870 (age appropriate wear and some restoration to decoration).
Fine Antique George III Bow Front Hanging Corner Cabinet in mahogany, having a stepped cornice above two bowed cabinet doors inlaid with ebony and boxwood stringing and opening to a fitted interior with four shelves and thee small drawers. English, circa 1780.

George II Concertina Action Mahogany Game Table. Circa 1730. Having a rectangular top opening to a tooled leather playing surface above a veneered frieze, supported by cabriole legs ending in pad feet. Note the good proportions and extremely fine cartouche and leafage carving on the front knees.
Separate tables for playing cards became popular during the Queen Anne period and the form developed from gateleg and drop leaf tables...
George III mahogany bidet, having rectangular, removable top opening to the original Wedgewood liner with an impressed mark which dates it to 1790-1800. The whole raised on turned, tapered legs.

Unusual Victorian Black Lacquer Drinks Table, having a reticulated papier mache top (now enclosed) with a polychromed scene of a fantastic landscape on a gilt decorated tripod stand with a turned pillar, scrolled legs and a plinth base supported by ball feet. English, circa 1860-70.

The serving of tea in the 18th Century was an important social ritual for those wealthy enough to be able to afford the tea. Specialized furniture and boxes (tea caddies) evolved around the "tea ceremony"
