These taller firefenders were to keep the baby out, rather than to keep the sparks in. American Circa 1800.

Large Georgian Pierced Brass Fire Fender, having a bowed front, urn and “Prince of Wales” feather design and fine "bright-cut" engraving. English, Circa 1750. Please note that each end has been extended by 4" to fit a larger fireplace.

Rare Frei Onnaing Majolica Umbrell Jar or Cane Rack with tropical motif having a faux bamboo body and applied palm tree and leaves. Frie Onnaing was a French (near Belgium) majolica pottery . This factory (Faiencerie d'Onnaing) was in business from 1821 to 1938. (small chip to the underside of a leaf)
