Antique American Pine Piggin with brass banding. A piggin is a wooden bucket with a stave extended above the top to act as a handle. Late 19th century.
Rare Regency games box of sarcophagus form with penwork decoration on all surfaces, the hinged lid with Chinisorie scene of figures in a garden with a pagoda and all sides decorated with floral borders, the interior with seven shaped compartments and the tapering sides with gilded handles, raised on gilded lion’s paw feet...

The serving of tea in the 18th Century was an important social ritual for those wealthy enough to be able to afford the tea. Specialized furniture and boxes (tea caddies) evolved around the "tea ceremony"

Rare Anglo-Indian carved ebony armchair with all over leaf, vine and floral carved decoration, with a shaped crestrail above twist turned spindles and shaped baserail, the rectangular uprights surmounted by leaf-carved finials join the slightly downswepts similarly carved armrests; the caned, drop in seat surrounded by carved seatrails and raised on twist turned legs joined by a shaped and carved box stretcher.
