Very Rare Set of Paint Decorated Glass Tea Caddies and a Sugarbowl, rectangular with sloped shoulders, the sugarbowl surmounted by a flower form glass urn. It is our belief that this was for a small sugarloaf from which chunks would have been cut (with sugar nips) and added to the sugarbowl. Minor Losses to Decoration

Chinese Export Black Lacquer Tea Chest, rectangular with cut corners and lobbed body with gilt decoration of figures in courtyards; the stepped, hinged lid opening to two pewter lidded and engraved caddies and the whole raised on gilt dragon-form feet. Impressive large-scale Black Forest carved armchair in walnut with all over carved decoration of bark, branches, leaves and berries. Swiss. Circa 1870-1880. * Provenance: Anniee McCarthy, Newport, RI and NYC (label). Minor loss to tips of leaves on crestrail, caned seat was once over upholstered.

Antique Pear Form Tea Caddy in fruitwood, turned in the form of a pear with iron escutcheon and stem.  Often made in suite with an apple form tea caddy for your green and black teas. You want to see a curved lockplate as many fruit form string holders are being passed off as tea caddies.  Probably German, Late 18th Century. 6.5” tall with stem

Exceptional George III Serpentine Chest of Drawers or Commode in the French Manner having a moulded edge serpentine top with overhanging sides above two over three conforming drawers, rounded front corners and bold bracket feet. The drawer sides and bottoms are mahogany which is unusual since it was the most expensive wood during the 18th Century. Brass pulls may be original, escutcheons replaced...

Rare George III Tea Caddy with Hidden Drawer, rectangular with stepped hinged top surmounted by a brass carrying handle, brass escutcheon and sliding side panel revealing a hidden drawer (patch above keyhole, lacks interior dividers).

One of the rarest of this form of tea caddy, the concealed drawer would have held your silver teaspoons.
