Exceptional George III bachelor’s chest in nicely figured mahogany with good color and patina, having a rectangular, cross banded top above an oak brushing slide and four graduated drawers flanked by canted, reeded corners and raised on straight bracket feet. English, circa 1780 (brasses replaced).

Chinese Export Black Lacquer Tea Chest, rectangular with cut corners and lobbed body with gilt decoration of figures in courtyards; the stepped, hinged lid opening to two pewter lidded and engraved caddies and the whole raised on gilt dragon-form feet. Small Antique Domed Top Penwork Sewing Box, having a hooped handle above a domed lid decorated with a scene of abby ruins, canted sides, and a front panel with scrolled, foliate decoration. Circa 1800, probably English. (overall scratches)

Antique American Federal Octagonal Tea Caddy, in mahogany the hinged top with satinwood stringing and banding opens to an interior well with a “floating” lid. Circa 1800.

George II Tea Caddy with Hidden Drawer; rectangular with stepped hinged top surmounted by a brass carrying handle, brass escutcheon and sliding side panel revealing a hidden drawer (slight warp to lid). Circa 1740.

One of the rarest of this form of tea caddy, the concealed drawer would have held your silver teaspoons.

Impressive large-scale Black Forest carved armchair in walnut with all over carved decoration of bark, branches, leaves and berries. Swiss. Circa 1870-1880. * Provenance: Anniee McCarthy, Newport, RI and NYC (label). Minor loss to tips of leaves on crestrail, caned seat was once over upholstered.
